The Vortex Quantum Series has been providing valves for pneumatic and gravity flow conveying of dry bulk materials for more than 35 years.
Over time, clients continually needed valves for handling heavy-duty materials, such as coal, potash and industrial sand. Utilizing an in-house staff of engineers, Vortex was able to meet these demands as Engineered Solutions. As clients present their applications and their difficulties in them, Vortex develops customized solutions to address them. Engineered Solutions have always been a part of Vortex, as there is no such thing as an off-the-shelf, commodity valve for handling dry solids. Many times, drastic modifications are made to existing products, while other times, the engineers start from scratch. Regardless the application, Vortex rarely declines a client's dry bulk material handling challenges.
As inquiries for heavy-duty valves continued to grow, Vortex moved in the direction to develop a specific product line to address these needs. The new Vortex Titan Series will be developed for heavy-duty and/or abrasive dry bulk material handling. The valves are constructed mainly from carbon steel and offer replaceable abrasion-resistant liners to extend valve service life.
The initial launch of the Vortex Titan Series will include four valves:
Additional Vortex Titan Series valves are in development, with another valve set to be launched during the end of 2012.
Materials handled by the Vortex Titan Series include alumina, bauxite, cement, clinker, coal, cobalt, coke, fly ash, gravel, glass, industrial sand, iron ore, lime, limestone, metal powders, potash and sand, among many others.
Do note: The same level of customer service and warranty apply to the Vortex Titan Series and Engineered Solutions as apply to the Vortex Quantum Series.
