This five-way Vortex Wye Line Diverter is being used by a vinyl extruder to handle CPVC. Material flows from one source to five destinations.

CPVC (Chlorinated Polyvinyl Chloride) is a thermoplastic produced from chlorination of polyvinyl chloride resin.

With their old system, this client had to manually switch lines. The new automated process saves a significant amount of time in their process.

Three units were installed and the client is preparing to source a fourth in their facility.

• Material Contact is 304 stainless steel.
• Utilizes Festo air cylinder.
• A ceramic backing is applied to the high wear areas of the interconnecting tubing to significantly improve the wear life.
