Since its founding in 1977, Vortex has designed innovative slide gates, diverters, iris diaphragms and loading spouts to improve process efficiencies across food & beverage industries. In those 40 years, Vortex solutions have been used throughout the many stages of food production – from agricultural seed production, to milling, baking, food processing, coffee & tea, brewing & distilling, packaging, and everything in between.
But Vortex components are not limited to human food production. They also play a pivotal role in the production of pet food and animal feeds.
For food processing applications, all Vortex components are constructed using FDA- or USDA-certified stainless and carbon steels. Vortex offers many optional features tailored toward food & beverage industries.
Vortex’s design philosophy is to develop products that improve process efficiency, provide easy in-line maintenance, ensure dust-free environments, self-compensate for wear, require minimal spare parts, and establish long-term reliability. As it relates to food & beverage industries, the Vortex Quantum Series is well-designed to prevent cross-contamination and spoilage. Several Vortex components are also designed to accommodate frequent wash-downs and other sanitation processes.
Vortex components are being used worldwide by many major food & beverage brands, including AB InBev, Archer Daniels Midland (ADM), Bunge, Cargill, Kellogg’s, Kraft, Nestle, PepsiCo, Proctor & Gamble (P&G), and Unilever, among others.
