Vortex Global is gearing up for another exciting MDU season, bringing our extensive lineup of slide gates, diverter valves, and loading solutions directly to our valued customers through the all-new Vortex Mobile Display Unit (MDU). This year, we're hitting the road in style with our brand-new Freightliner MDU. The previous MDU had served us faithfully for many years, but it was time for an upgrade. It had become a hodgepodge of makeshift repairs, held together by duct tape, bubble gum, and prayer.
This new innovative unit allows us to put our best foot forward by facilitating direct conversations with our valued customers, reinforcing our commitment to personalized customer service and market-driven product design innovations. During MDU visits, we offer live demonstrations of our fully operational slide gates, diverter valves, and loading solutions, providing an opportunity for customers to engage with our knowledgeable Vortex representatives and discover how our products can enhance their process efficiency.
Traveling across the United States and Canada for nearly 30 weeks, the MDU serves not only as a platform for new customer interactions but also as a valuable resource for existing customers. For facilities that already have Vortex products installed, an MDU visit can provide essential guidance to plant maintenance personnel, offering step-by-step instructions on how to effectively clean and maintain their equipment. These plant visits are tailored to each customer's specific needs and can range from brief 30-minute sessions to more comprehensive meetings lasting several hours.
Beyond our primary objective of engaging with both current and potential customers, the MDU also makes regular visits to universities such as Kansas State University and Iowa State University. This serves as a means for us to connect with the next generation of professionals in the solids and bulk handling industry. We believe in fostering relationships and sharing knowledge with the future leaders of our field. Additionally, our MDU has also made appearances at industry conferences such as the International Powder & Bulk Solids Conference and Exhibition in Chicago.
