Vortex is pleased to announce the release of its Vortex Titan Slide Gate, a process gate specifically designed for handling heavy-duty and/or abrasive dry materials, such as sand, gravel, coal, whole grains, metal powders, minerals and more. The Vortex Titan Slide Gate is intended for gravity flow applications where dust-tight sealing and positive material shut-off are required.

Features of the Vortex Titan Slide Gate include: 

• Live-loaded, wear-compensating bonnet seals, to prevent material migration into the bonnet area and, therefore, preventing leakage of materials and dusts to atmosphere.
• Milled access slots on both sides of the bonnet area, to allow bonnet seal replacement while the gate remains in-line.
• Hardened steel rollers and polymer blade guides, for a positive seal across the gate.
• Material contact areas constructed from carbon steel.
• Abrasion-resistant liners, to protect the gate's inlet and blade rollers. Liners are replaceable to extend a gate's service life.
• Externally greased zerks.
• Square & rectangular sizes, inlet & outlet transitions, custom bolt hole patterns, and flange options for matching up with various equipment above and below the gate.
• Variable positioning assemblies, for metering control.
• Modifications available to address handled material temperatures, corrosiveness, moisture exposure, and explosive environments.
• Actuation options, including double-acting air cylinder, electric, hydraulic, chain wheel or hand crank.
