Seal Tite Diverter Handling Urea

Published: March 26, 2019

Client: Fertilizer manufacturer – Idaho, USA

Divert urea out of a storage silo toward two loadout stations:

  • Station #1 is a truck loading station.
  • Station #2 is a railcar loading station.

  • The diverter’s removable access panel allows interior inspection and/or maintenance to be performed while the valve remains in-line. The panel is secured by spin knobs, which allow interior access without using tools.

This Vortex Seal Tite Diverter has been in service for seven years – without issue.

Currently, the client is using loading socks at both their truck loading and railcar loading stations. Vortex Loading Spouts have been quoted as potential replacements, in order to better manage materials and dusts at the point of loading.
